Eyes of the Fallen: Surveillance

This was the final piece in the series of four paintings that I did for the final project of my watercoloring class. The characters that I created for these paintings come from a fantasy "tribe" that I made up myself; the base root of their culture stems from their belief that eyes are sacred. They believe that to look into another person's eyes is an extremely personal experience, and so they keep their eyes covered/hidden at all times. They also collect the eyeballs of their vanquished enemies, and preserve them to wear them as trophies.

The guy represented in this particular piece is the "scout" of the group. I have a personality, etc. for him that I'll be posting later; but for right now I just don't feel like typing that much. XD (Oh laziness....)

Unfortunately, as per usual, the camera I used to take the photograph of this piece did a less than satisfactory job. :/ I'll try to remedy that later as well. Anyways, the dimensions of the piece are 22 x 30; medium used was watercolor paint.
